Well, finally finished pulling the engine down to find the cause of the knocking sound (was really hoping I wouldn't find what I found) and yes, a spun bearing was staring me in the face. Took the crank down to the boys at competition engineering in phoenix and had Mike take a look at it and his comment was "now that you spun it, you gotta junk it". It was bad enough according to Mike that repair (micro polishing) wasn't even an option...now I have a really nice paper weight. Anyway, OEM crank according to Coz is like almost $800 and an aftermarket is out of the question at this point....sigh
